我的工作信箱同時也是公司的公用信箱，每天要處理的廣告以及詐騙信函多達千封，一大早來公司收到這封MAIL

看了它們的網站，赫然發現原來是鼎鼎大名的世界名人錄耶!!!天呀，我被候選為世界名人了!!!!!

有些學者喜歡搬出他們學經歷時，也都會秀這個頭銜。用中文yahoo了一下，發現還真有不少台灣還真有副教授級在自我介紹上都登錄了這個頭銜。

不過小弟是作風低調且有自知之明的人，怎可能會被選到，這點小技哪迷惑得了我。但我還真好奇這是哪門的詐騙?因為他的抬頭正確無誤的寫了我的英文名，讓我認為這不是二流的詐騙。

這時仍要搬出GOOGLE大神開示，瀏覽一番後找到這位女士的部落格，http://thebusinessofknowing.blogspot.com/2007/10/pandering-to-ego-scam-email-for.html

這位女士的這一文章底下已經有36個回應，其中好幾位都已經是受害者。

這家公司的詐騙已經存在5~6年之久，且會更換公司名。當您收到這封信而進一步留言在公司網站上時，便會有位自稱來自華盛頓的女子來電。女子宣稱因為該刊物即將截稿，希望直接由他們總裁與您做電話訪談。訪談內容之專業可能就像CNN或是TIMES吧!! 訪談完成他會恭賀您成為收錄在本年度的名人錄中，並請您註冊登記在他們協會裡。註冊費是美金八百，約台幣兩萬六千四百元。在經不住他們的洗腦以及疲勞轟炸後，給了她們信用卡號碼，之後您隔月的信用卡單就會有這筆八百美金的消費。而名人錄呢? 則從未問世也您也永遠不會收到。一些人事後想取消訂單，也都以極差勁的理由予以拒絕，比如說手續費要三百八十五美金啦，之後還是分毫不退。

其實我一邊看部落格的回文一邊暗暗吃驚，受騙者居然有那麼多! 顯示對肯定自己的能力以及專業身分而有大頭症的人還真不少。受騙對象到底從何而來??我相信他們不是亂找，事實上他們所選的對象有部分是華爾街日報電子版的訂戶。他們得到了這個mailing list再對名單人發出此一詐騙信。因為留言者中有人提到這點，而我恰好也是。真是太厲害了!!

看來這家詐騙公司不僅狡猾有智慧，到現在尚未落網更是突顯美國FBI的無能，呵呵~~
